General description
The city of Bafoussam is launching the ambitious 'Green City' project, aiming to transform its urban space into a sustainable, healthy environment that is resilient to climate change. This project is part of a development vision in which environmental protection is a priority of urban planning. It includes the creation and enhancement of green spaces (parks, gardens), better waste management, the fight against pollution, the protection of natural resources, the encouragement of ecological practices in development and construction, and adaptation to climate change (reducing the risks of flooding, erosion, and soil degradation). Raising public awareness is also an essential pillar.

Contribution details
The diaspora is invited to bring its expertise (sustainable urban planning, environmental engineering, waste management, renewable energy, landscaping, green finance), its network to identify technical and financial partners, its support in mobilizing funds, and its ability to share best practices from international experiences. Direct financial contributions for specific projects (e.g., the purchase of reforestation equipment, the installation of smart bins) are also sought.
Mission conditions
Availability for regular virtual exchanges with the project team. The possibility of on-site travel for occasional missions (optional). A commitment for a duration to be defined according to the type of contribution. A good understanding of urban and environmental development issues is desirable.
